      • Battery CabinetsWe offer two different battery cabinets with key locks and vents for proper battery installation.
    • Installation AccessoriesWe offer an assortment of approved accessories and fasteners to facilitate installation of our linear heat detector for a wide range of applications. Protectowire supplied fasteners are generally designed to lightly clamp the detector, which enables a tension to be applied progressively. To ensure a trouble-free installation, only Protectowire supplied or recognized fasteners should be used.
      • Fasteners and Pipe Mounting
      • Splicing and TerminationIn accordance with applicable sections of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code, the detector must be installed in continuous runs without taps or branches, or as determined by the local authority. The following should only be used with Digital PHSC Protectowire Digital Linear Heat Detectors: PWSC Splicing Connector (Two-Point) PWSK-3 Field Serviceable Splicing Connector (Three-Point) PWS Splicing Sleeves PFL Flexible Leads The following should only be used with Confirmed Temperature Initiation (CTI) Linear Heat Detectors: CTIC Splicing Kit CTIC-F Female Splicing Connector CTIC-M Male Splicing Connector DRTB-T-2 Terminal Block with Integrated Test Jack The following can be used with Digital (PHSC), CTI or Fiber Optic Linear Heat Detectors: SR-502 Series Junction Box Sealed Strain Relief Connector SR-502N Junction Box Sealed Strain Relief Connector (Nylon) SFTS Sealant Tape (#2228) #35 Splicing Tape (Available in white, red, and blue) 33+ Low Temperature Splicing Tape (Black) SU-15 Wire Dispensing Reel
      • Junction Boxes and Feed CableThe Protectowire Linear Heat Detector portion of every initiating circuit shall terminate at each end in an approved zone box, end-of-line zone box, or other approved junction box provided as part of the system. We offer a complete range of end-of-line and zone boxes to accommodate many different types of applications.
      • Messenger WireMessenger wire is a carrier or support wire which is designed to simplify the installation of the detector in areas where mounting is difficult due to the lack of appropriate support structures or mounting surfaces. Messenger wire is available with any model detector on special order. It consists of high-tensile strength stainless steel wire, which is wound around the detector at the rate of approximately one turn per foot (.3 m).

    • Initiating DevicesProtectowire FireSystems offers a complete line of high performance audible and visual initiating devices designed and approved for fire protection.
      • Manual Pull StationsThe SG-42 Series includes high-quality, non-coded fire alarm stations that are available in either single or dual action models. The attractive die-cast metal housing is finished in high-gloss red enamel with raised white letters which enables fast recognition in emergency situations. The SGX-32 models are explosion-proof stations available in either single or dual action configurations. They are UL-listed and FM-approved for use in hazardous environments and weatherproof applications.
      • Spot Heat Detectors- 302 Series Rate AnticipationAll 302 Series detectors are normally open devices and are available in either 135°F (57°C) or 194°F (90°C) ratings. Each unit is constructed with a high expansion .040 anodized aluminum sensing shell and fine silver contacts which are hermetically sealed to ensure reliable operation. Electrical rating is 6-28 VDC, 1 amp. (all models). Refer to product data sheet for FM approval and spacing information.
